What if healing comes through tears?

I had forgotten that sometimes the purest blessings can come from cleansing rain- and the beauty of the sun after a storm.   I had forgotten because I didnt want to shed the tears.  I didnt want to walk the trials or travel the stone laden road.

Some of the hardest and most well learned lessons I have ever learned have come through tears and pain.  What if that’s what it takes to really get to the place in my heart and soul that God wants to touch?  What if there is a new place he wants to take me to, and the only way to get there is by walking through the valley?  What if there is no other way to use me in the way God needs to, but to disguise His mercies and blessings he so abundantly wants to bestow upon me?

Does the sun ever look as bright and beautiful as it does right after the storm?  Does the grass ever look greener than after it’s felt the power of lightning and the watched the rolling back of the clouds?  Does the air ever smell fresher or clearer?

My tears fall, but I know that they are seen.  I am seen.  He hears and loves me.

I don’t know what tomorrow holds, but I know WHO holds tomorrow.

May Laura Story bless you as much as she does me.  Thank you, Amy dearest, for reviving my soul through her lyrics and song.

I had forgotten that sometimes the purest blessings can come from drops of cleansing tears acting as rain in the storms of life – and reminding me of the beauty of the sun after a storm.
